Birthday - First Day of School - Birthday - Birthday - Birthday!

July and August are usually busy months! 2010 was no different!

Brody's birthday theme this year was SOCCER! We played a soccer game, had soccer cupcakes, and broke open a soccer pinata! He also went golfing with dad and received roller blades to help fine tune his skating!

Then we had the first day of school for everyone:
Karson is in the 4th grade with Ms. Matthews

Brody is in the 1st grade with Miss Cleverly

Bennett is in Preschool with Ms. Lindsey

Dad had his 37th birthday!

Karson turned 9 this year and celebrated with a Slip N Slide party!

Mom had her 34th birthday (am I really that age?)
It was a great birthday... my friends and the help of Brad and Ashlee threw a suprise bbq party with all my great friends and thier families... I couldn't have thought of a better way to spend my birthday!!!

Some Summer Stuff!

Here are a few things we did during the Summer of 2010:

***A Summer Kick-off - Memorial Day BBQ with family and friends! Blaine and Marshall and Megan came for a Utah visit during the holiday weekend. They also visited Snow Bird and were greeted with snow...

***We also had other other family visit... Catelyn and Addison and Grandma and Grandpa. They were in town for Dani's Baptism (June 2010).

***Karson had a Wax Museum at school and dressed up like Kristy Yamaguchi, the figure skater. When you pushed a button on her hand, she came alive and told you a little about herself.

***Dad started making Sunday dinners... his and our favorite were Chicken and Vegetable Kabobs... yummy! Keep it up Dad! :)

***Karson went to Girl Scout Camp at Cloud Rim Camp in early July 2010. It was a Short and Sweet Camp (3 days, 2 nights). She sang songs, made new friends, slept in the Eleanore Roosevelt cabin in a sleeping bag, made crafts, tie dyed t-shirts, had waterfront time, hiked around the lake.... She had a good time, but was also glad to get picked up and go home!

After we dropped Karson off on the first day of camp, we saw a Moose out in the open, just off the dirt road we were on...

***And Mom also got to spend the day with 2 great friends in Park City... a little lunch, a little shopping, and little caramel apple and definitely too little time to do it all! :)

***Bennett learned to ride his bike minus the training wheels... he's loving the freedom!

***The kids had an encounter with the Police!

(it was all harmless of course, he's a neighbor and was picking up something from Brad/ Lizardskins :)

Hats, Glasses, and Bed Head!

A few things about Kourtney:

She loves to wear hats (except in the sun when she really needs one on)!
She thinks she's hot stuff in her glasses!

She sometimes wakes up with the best bed head!

Preschool!

Bennett graduated with flying colors from his 1st year of preschool! We had a little party to celebrate in May 2010. He had lots of fun with his preschool buddies: Evan, Kade, Lauren S. and Lauren W. and this was all possible because of the wonderful moms they have! :)

Bennett Turned 4!

Our Bennett Boy turned 4 and wanted to celebrate with his friends, family, and the "Backyardigans" We had a backyard adventure with games like Surfs up, Soccer Monster, Polka Party, and Race Around the World!

We also had cupcakes representing each Backyardigan and Bennett received lots of fun presents!

Candy Cane Lightning!!!

It's Bennett's turn to play soccer and he is on fire... or maybe that's Lightning!
Bennett loves to play soccer,
loves to play with his friends,
loves to score goals,
loves to have the game treats
loves running around
and loves reenacting and commentating later every good play he made!

The team's name is fairly self-explanatory at least the first part (check out the uniforms)... but then the lightning was added to make it sound cool for the boys :)...
It's actually a lot of fun to watch... for four year olds, they move the ball fairly well and quite a few goals are scored... Ben's friend Kade is such a good little soccer player and can score whenever, but he also is a good play maker and gives assists for others to score too. Ben does a great job running and kicking the ball... He kicked and dribbled the ball from one end of the field to the other.... I think his tally is up to 5 goals. Go Team!
