We were able to tour the Oquirrh Mountain Temple during the open house. It's such a privilege and opportunity for us all. I hope the children understood the significance of such a thing and remember the things that they saw.
Here are a few of our favorite things:
The two grand staircases;
the chandelier that looks like a star when you are looking up;
the high ceiling in the celestial room;
the murals (being able to locate animals);
the bride's room;
the picture of Christ dressed in red in the marriage waiting room;
the circle glass that "emphasizes" this picture;
all the Minerva Tiechart paintings (mom's favorite...Esther, which is in the Bride's room);
the baptismal font;
and the fact we can see it outside our window.
