We Love to See the Temple!

We were able to tour the Oquirrh Mountain Temple during the open house. It's such a privilege and opportunity for us all. I hope the children understood the significance of such a thing and remember the things that they saw.

Here are a few of our favorite things:

The two grand staircases;

the chandelier that looks like a star when you are looking up;

the high ceiling in the celestial room;

the murals (being able to locate animals);

the bride's room;

the picture of Christ dressed in red in the marriage waiting room;

the circle glass that "emphasizes" this picture;

all the Minerva Tiechart paintings (mom's favorite...Esther, which is in the Bride's room);

the baptismal font;

and the fact we can see it outside our window.

SURPRISE!

Dad came for a suprise visit! To see us all, I'm sure... but mostly to see Ashlee complete in her first Triathlon and to see the newest grandchild... It was a quick visit, but it was fun having grandpa here. Surpises are really the way to do it!

Preschool Happenings!

Brody Just finished his 2nd year of preschool... He really enjoyed going to Mrs Butterfield's Leaps and Bounds preschool. Brody said, "My favorite was when Ben got to come to my preschool" and then mom asked, "do you have any thing more you want to say?" Brody replied, "that's all I got."

He went on 3 field trips: Peterson's Grocery Store and Dominos Pizza..."we got to see where they make the cakes... it's a biiiiiiig oven. We got to see them toss the pizzas in the air." Children's Discovery Museum downtown and Wheeler Farm... Brody had to dress up like a farmer before going to Wheeler Farm. His"outfit" is below... everything was laid out the night before including his farmer socks, farmer shirt, farmer jacket, farmer belt and farmer hat (it was all very "farmerish" :)... he also put a little ball under his hat to be "his head wearing" the hat.

Brody is now a Preschool Graduate! There was a lot of "Pomp and Circumstance" during Brody's graduation ceremony: including songs, poems, pictures video, and reciting the abc's...

Blessing Day!

Kourtney Lynne was blessed by her dad in the Copper Creek 1st Ward. It was a very nice blessing emphasizing gaining a testimony of the role she has here on earth, striving for the opportunity for an education and receiving the special blessings that are available to her in the temple.

Many family members and friends came to be with Kourtney on her special day. The Tueller family, The Spencer family, Ashlee, Aunt Carole Sullivan, and the Christensen family. And just like dad said in the blessing, she is a joy to us all!
We were also able to take pictures to help us remember this great day and enjoyed a lunch all together!

Koutney's beautiful dress was given to her by the Blaine Barker family and we thought it was perfect to use as her blessing dress!

Her cute blessing booties and matching clip were made by a great family friend, Kristie Miller!
