Countdown to Christmas!

As a family we tried to do a few things to help us get in the Christmas spirit:
**Made Gingerbread Man cookies

(Karson was the photographer)

**Made Rudolph Cookies

**Watched the traditional Christmas Movies... Some of Dad's favorites.

**Participated in a NativityPlay and had a Christmas Party at the Tuellers

Karson as Mary
Brody and Bennett as Two Wise Men
Kourtney as Baby Jesus
Brock as Joseph
Dani as Angel
Mia and Dan as Shepherds

**Drove around looking at Christmas Lights

**Delievered presents to the "Bishop's Room" to help those needing "a little something" at Christmas

**Had Family Home Evening lessons about Jesus Christ

**Opened Granparent presents early (just to see if they remembered how to unwrap from last year :)

We Love to See the Temple!

Friday, June 5, 2009
We were able to tour the Oquirrh Mountain Temple during the open house. It's such a privilege and opportunity for us all. I hope the children understood the significance of such a thing and remember the things that they saw.
Here are a few of our favorite things:
The two grand staircases;
the chandelier that looks like a star when you are looking up;
the high ceiling in the celestial room;
the murals (being able to locate animals);
the bride's room;
the picture of Christ dressed in red in the marriage waiting room;
the circle glass that "emphasizes" this picture;
all the Minerva Tiechart paintings (mom's favorite...Esther, which is in the Bride's room);
the baptismal font;
and the fact we can see it outside our window.

Some Summer Stuff with Family

Summer 2008

Grandpa and Grandma "Fighting" with the boys! -

Dinosaur Museum with Melissa, Leo, and Charlie -

It was BUSY but that is what you get for only having to pay $2.00 instead of $12.00
Thanksgiving Point was having a deal... $2.00 Tuesdays in August... But we braved the lines and the crowds to get a good deal.

Musical Rooms

A Monday...late June 2008-

We decided it was time to move Benny out of the crib (he was struggling going to sleep anyway)!
We moved Brody to the top Bunk... Benny got the bottom bunk in the yellow room... And then moved Karson into Benny's room (or what was always the "baby's room")! Mom was a little sad taking the crib down, but we did it anyway. Karson now has PINK in her room and loves going in there, shutting the door, and playing with her Polly Pockets, cars, or reading a book on her bed. She is in heaven. And the boys now have their car pictures on the wall and their sports stuff, but most important, no "frilly valance" over the window. Sleeping now has been fine. Although mom and dad get a "visitor" every once in a while :).
